How long does it take to get from Southampton to Heathrow, Gatwick, or Stansted?
Heathrow is the closest of the major London airports — approximately 80 miles and 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes depending on traffic. Gatwick is roughly 90 miles and 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours. Stansted is the furthest at around 110 miles and 2 hours to 2 hours 30 minutes. Luton is approximately 100 miles and 1 hour 50 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. Bournemouth is the nearest at around 35 miles and 45 minutes to an hour. What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track your flight number from the point of booking, and adjust your driver’s arrival at the terminal in line with the actual landing time. If the delay is under an hour from your scheduled landing, there is no additional charge — the first hour of waiting is already included. If the delay is significant (several hours or more) we will contact you to confirm the adjusted pickup. You will not be left without a driver, and we will not leave before you clear arrivals.
Is airport parking included in the fare?
Yes. All airport parking fees, tolls, congestion charges, and road tolls are included in every fixed fare we quote. There are no hidden charges added on arrival. This applies whether you are being dropped off (short-stay parking at the terminal) or picked up (short-stay parking while the driver meets you in arrivals).
Can I book a return journey — airport to Southampton for a cruise?
Yes, and we recommend it. You can book a one-way transfer in either direction, a return on the same booking, or combine an inbound airport transfer with an overnight Southampton hotel stay and an onward cruise terminal transfer the next morning. Booking all legs together locks in the fixed fare, guarantees a driver is assigned to each journey, and removes the risk of not being able to get a taxi at peak cruise-boarding hours.
